E-Physio Associates Ltd is a Physiotherapy Practice specialising in the area of
neurological physiotherapy.
Our team of physiotherapists cover neurological, paediatric and musculoskeletal
physiotherapy treatments, acupuncture and hydrotherapy.
All E-Physio Associates Limited employed practitioners are CSP and HPC
registered and also insured to treat
clients through their professional association insurance policies.
In addition E-Physio Associates Limited maintains a comprehensive
practice insurance policy covering the company’s operations.

Susan Davies MCSP
Senior Neuro Physiotherapist
Susan qualified in 1981 from Kings College Hospital London as a Chartered
Physiotherapist. Initially working at Northwick Park Hospital (NHS), London,
between Jan 1982 and 1984. Followed by locum positions with private practices.
By the autumn of 1984 Susan headed the physiotherapy service at HCA Hartswood
Hospital (Now BUPA) in 1991. Additional part time positions were held until
establishing her private physiotherapy practice in 1985. After a successful
period of 15 years the practice was absorbed by E-Physio Associates in 2005.
Susan as a founding Director of E-Physio Associates Limited heads the
neurophysiotherapy function of the expanding practice.
During 2005 additional physiotherapists, both neuro and musculoskeletal,
together with a Physiotherapy Assistant and Business/Practice Manager
were taken on.
By 2006, E-Physio Associates had expanded it’s main domiciliary physiotherapy
service throughout Essex and East London. As part of the practice expansion
plans an additional physiotherapy practice clinic, Physio West, Westerham,
Kent was purchased by E-Physio Associates to extend its practice base to
the Kent area.
Susan has specialist experience in neuro related cases including MS, Stroke
support and RTA brain damaged patients. |

Richard Fowler

Richard joined us in
2009.From graduating with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of East
London.Richard undertook further internal and external training gaining much
valuable experience understudying physiotherapists at the counties leading
neurological centres. Richard has experience of working at Basildon and Southend
and three London hospitals while also experiencing work in Perth, Australia.
Richard also completed firther advanced courses in massage techniques, sports
recovery and injury rehabilitation / prevention. |

Jane Cast MCSP

Specialist
Jane Cast qualified in 1984 from
King’s College Hospital London. Initially she worked at Mayday Hospital Croydon
before starting to specialise in neurology working on a senior rotational post
within St Georges Healthcare London. She continued to expand her neurological
knowledge working within the neuro gym and the community setting from Charing
Cross Hospital. In 1995 she joined Leonard Cheshire Disability running
physiotherapy services across 3 homes gaining invaluable insight and expertise
into the long term management of neurological clients. During this time she also
developed her own private practise treating clients in the community. In 2001
she took up the role of Clinical lead for Stroke Services working towards
optimising outcomes and independence for stroke clients in the area. For the
last 5 years she has undertaken the role of Team Leader for a multidisciplinary
Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team in West Kent NHS where she has helped to
develop and implement locally a range of services specifically designed for the
needs of this client group.
Jane is passionate about ensuring that all clients with neurological problems
reach and maintain their full potential for independence and believes with the
correct treatment,advice and motivation this can be achieved. |

Amanda Thorn BSc MCSP

Amanda was the first and
only female physiotherapist in the Royal Navy, trained at the Bath School of
Physiotherapy, Amanda qualified in 1996. Working at the Royal Hospital Haslar
Amanda treated both civilian and military patients. Rotating as a Junior and
then Senior Physiotherapist in orthopaedics, out-patients, rehabilitation gym,
intensive care unit, medical/surgical wards and neuro rehabilitation, Amanda
particularly enjoyed the medical wards and neuro rehabilitation spending her
last six months working as a Senior physiotherapist in these areas. Amanda left
the Royal Navy after 22 years service and Amanda says she was 'lucky to have
both a lovely daughter, Claire in 1999 and my wonderful son Leon in 2001'. Once
they had both started school, Amanda decided to return to work, but on a
part-time basis. Working for E Physio Associates was the perfect chance for
Amanda to achieve this. Amanda treats patients in
the South Essex area. |

Philip Barber BSc MCSP
Chartered Physiotherapist
Phil graduated with a degree
in physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham in 2005. Prior to this he
spent 3 years completing his Sports Science degree at Brunel University. He has
been working in the NHS for over four and a half years where he has gained
extensive experience in treating a variety of musculo-skeletal conditions
including sports injuries and spinal conditions. His post-graduate training has
given him expert knowledge in the use of hands on techniques to decrease pain
and increase movement. He also has a keen interest in muscle imbalance
retraining and Pilates.Aside from his work as a physiotherapist he is a
player/physiotherapist for a local football club. His other interests include
Snowboarding and golf where he has a handicap of nine. Phil
is based at our Westerham Clinic.

Michael Cooper MISRM LSSM Dip PT
Sports Therapist
Michael is a practitioner of sports and remedial massage therapy. He holds
professional diplomas in sport science, sports therapy, sports and remedial
massage therapy and personal training. As an ex professional sportsman
Michael is able to successfully treat a wide range of soft tissue injuries
ranging from competitive athletes to sedentary people. Whether a muscle
strain, postural problem or a general ache and pain Michael’s assessment,
treatment and rehabilitation of the bodies soft tissue structures will
not only treat the symptoms described but also improve athletic performance
and the quality of daily life. Michael treats clients in Essex and Kent. |

Lucy Adamson BSc
Sports Therapist
Lucy provides a Sports Therapy service from her base in Maldon, Essex.
Lucy graduated from the University of Chichester with a BSc (Hons) in Sports
Therapy, a relatively new degree course concentrating on assessment and
rehabilitation of sporting injuries. As well as having the clinical skills
to examine and assess injuries and to treat athlete accordingly back to full
fitness, Sports Therapist also cover areas such as psychology, nutrition,
physiology and biomechanics to help have an overall understanding of
athletes performance.
Lucy has completed a course on Treatment Point: Trigger point, pain and
muscle tone, in needle free interventions in somatic pain syndromes. She is
also a full time insured member of the Society of Sports Therapist. Lucy
also treats non-sporting injuries, including treatment plans encompassing
Soft Tissue Manipulations (sports massage), Joint Mobilisations, (Vertebral
and Peripheral), Rehabilitation Programmes and Exercises and Electrotherapy
(Ultrasound). Lucy treats clients in South East Essex. |

Paul Douglas BSc (Hons) LicAc, MBAcC
Registered Acupuncturist
Paul has a degree in acupuncture and is a member of the British Acupuncture
Council. He offers traditional Chinese acupuncture for a wide range of
conditions, including musculo-skeletal and infertility problems. Paul also
has a diploma in Tuina (the Chinese massage and manipulation system) and has
undertaken specialist training in sports injuries and facial acupuncture.

Coral graduated from Colchester University having undertaken work experience and
CPD training courses with E-Physio Associates Limited during her studies for her
BSc Physiotherapy. Coral started her physiotherapy career as a Physiotherapy
Assistant with the NHS at Colchester Hospital in Orthopedics and has been Saebo
trained. |

Liz Pigot MSc MCSP
Chartered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Liz qualified from Brighton University in 2002, from there Liz worked in the NHS
in Bournemouth gaining a variety of experience in orthopaedics and specialising
in musculoskeletal complaints. Liz went on to work with the Southampton Football
Club Academy team spurring an interest in sports injuries, working for two years
in Val d'Isere ski resort in France. Liz treated skiers and members of the
British Demonstration ski team. Since then Liz has been working in private
practice in London and Kent specialising in the treatment of sports injuries and
spines. Liz's second passion is animals, especially horses. Liz is a keen horse
rider and completed her Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Liz treats horses
as well as their riders and other animals. |
